Hommage à mon arrière grand père...

Donc voici ma nièce, Roxanne, qui tient la plaque de la nouvelle place de Paris portant le nom de mon arrière grand père; Justin Godart...
Mon papa a beaucoup travaillé pour que cet hommage soit possible, ainsi que d'autres à Justin d'ailleurs. Il a fait un très émouvant discours qui se trouve ici. En quelques phrases, je pense qu'il a tout dit sur le bonhomme. Un sacré bonhomme d'ailleurs...
Peut être que la prochaine entrée sur ce blog à propos de Justin sera pour un prix Nobel... de la paix.

Memorial Week-End in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park

With over 600,000 acres, Anza-Borrego Desert State Park® is the largest desert state park in the contiguous United States. 500 miles of dirt roads, two huge wilderness areas (comprising 2/3 of the park) and 110 miles of riding and hiking trails provide visitors with an unparalleled opportunity to experience the wonders of the Colorado Desert. The park name is derived from a combination of the name of Spanish explorer Juan Bautista de Anza and the Spanish word "borrego," referring to bighorn sheep. The park features washes, wildflowers, palm groves, cacti and sweeping vistas. Visitors may also have the chance to see roadrunners, golden eagles, kit foxes, mule deer and bighorn sheep as well as desert iguanas, chuckwallas and four species of rattlesnake.
Anza-Borrego Desert State Park® is located on the eastern side of San Diego County, it is about a two-hour drive from San Diego.

A week in Mammoth

So our last happy event was our trip to Mammoth.One week at the Cinamon Bear which is a lovely place to stay there.

10 K Arturio Barrios - November 2005

It was a Family Race : 10 K for the parents and 1 mile for the kids, but we didn't get the kids' pictures.
Ce fut une course familiale : 10 km pour les parents et 1,6 km pour les enfants, mais on n'a pas les photos des enfants...
